The Glass House is a cozy venue situated amidst two hills in rural West Michigan, conveniently located midway between Grand Rapids and Lakeshore. It can accommodate up to 50 guests with comfortable seating arrangements in rows. The Historic farm grounds offer various backdrops for photographs, outdoor events, games, and enjoyable moments. The farm is a place of growth, nourishment, and sustainability, where the owners (Chris and Becky) and their children reside with different animals. They aim to pass on this blessing to future generations. Multiple wedding packages are available that include the Glass House Creative Community, the grounds, the farmhouse, the cottage, and the barn.
Details of the Grounds
The Glass House:
Step down into a beautiful, serene space filled with lush greenery, exotic plants, and cozy built-in wood stoves. Be surrounded by buzzing hummingbirds and bright Edison bulbs to create a magical atmosphere for a tranquil dinner reception. Enjoy the fully restored glass windows with plenty of natural light streaming in.
The Grounds:
Enjoy the beauty of this venue and make your day special by selecting from a variety of stunning backdrops for your wedding ceremony. Whether it's in the vibrant greenhouse, outdoors, beneath the trees, or by the tranquil pond, you are sure to find the perfect setting for your special day.
The Farmhouse:
Nestled in the cozy comfort of their family home, you will find a quaint sitting area with a natural wood-burning fireplace, perfect for friends and family to relax and enjoy the moment. There is also a separate space nearby, providing plenty of room to prepare for your special wedding day. The Farmhouse can house either the Bride or Groom, allowing complete privacy from each other until the ceremony. The entrance to the space enters from the backyard directly into their open kitchen, where vendors can easily set up and help prepare a delicious meal for your guests.
The Cottage:
A completely unique space for you and your future spouse to get ready for your special day. Inside, you can enjoy the ambiance of the room and the music that plays or step outside, take a seat under the umbrella to take in the peaceful sights and sounds of nature with birds chirping and ducks swimming in the nearby pond. Chris and Becky also provide the option of staying the night in their cottage if you prefer. Every convenience is provided, including a bed, shower, and compostable toilet. If you wish, you can even rent the space out on Airbnb! What a wonderful way to end the day, walking a few steps into your newlywed retreat and not having to worry about transportation or making other arrangements.
The Barn:
This barn offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for any type of gathering. Illuminated by the warm glow of Edison bulbs, the barn provides an open bar space with a talented bartender ready to serve drinks and get the party going. The stage is perfect for any band or DJ to set up and entertain the crowd, helping you and your guests dance the night away!
Photography Opportunities
Strolling around the grounds, the private property is bursting with plants, roses, and lush greenery. Everywhere you look, you can’t help but be inspired by nature’s beauty and envision the romantic shots we can capture here! Begin at the Greenhouse and make your way to the pond, then the barn – where you may be lucky enough to spot a few cuddly kittens! We can play with your veil and explore the abundance of floral backdrops and angles. I can already picture how beautiful your photos will be!!
Wedding Details
Elopement Package: For those seeking the utmost flexibility for an elopement, vow renewal, or reception, our six-hour elopement package could be the perfect fit. From May to October, the package is available weekdays (Monday to Thursday) and includes an a-la-carte selection of amenities, beginning with a rental of just the glass house and grass courtyards.
The Grounds Package: is the perfect choice for couples who are detail-oriented and love the planning aspects of a wedding. Enjoy the use of the entire grounds - the glass house and grass courtyard, the first floor of the farmhouse, cottage, decks, and pergola, and the main floor of the barn - for up to 10 hours. With private spaces to get ready, you can relax and celebrate at your own pace. Plus, they will let you build a support team of other vendors to bring your vision to life. This package is available from May-August (Monday-Saturday), and from September-October (Monday-Thursday) only.

For couples who are enchanted by the atmosphere of this space and wish for a comprehensive wedding package, they are elated to present Weddings by the Glass House. They want your special day to be tranquil and full of the most delightful memories, so they have assembled some of their favorite creative partners in floral design, farm-to-table cuisine, and bespoke event creation. These experts are adept in their crafts, appreciate and adore the space, and agree with their conviction that small is a wonderful choice.
This twelve-hour package includes complete floral design and tablescape, a seasonal dinner on-site for up to 50 attendees, and an event producer to manage the particulars and progress of your nuptials. They will host an in-person consultation with their event producer and florist to guarantee that they comprehend your vision and bring it to life, and they will help arrange a private tasting with our chefs (if desired).
