About the Venue
Planterra Conservatory is a luxury greenhouse wedding venue nestled in West Bloomfield, Michigan. A botanical, all inclusive venue with a team of event planners and design services. All event planning is customized to each and every couple who choose to say their “I do’s” in Planterra’s whimsical, candle lit magical space. Details of the Grounds
Getting Ready Spaces: You will have to make arrangements to get ready (Hair + Makeup) off site. There is one Bridal Suite where you can make arrangements to change into your wedding attire and then a separate conference room where your partner can relax in before the ceremony. Ceremony + Reception Space: Planterra’s indoor ceremony + reception garden space provides attention to detail + natural light boasting throughout the greenhouse, making the lighting perfect for all your wedding photos. (Trust me, your photographer will LOVE the natural, yet even lighting spread throughout the greenhouse. I know I do every single time I photograph at Planterra!) A clear view of the sky in the Conservatory, creating a romantic backdrop for all your friends and family during cocktail hour + reception.
Photography Opportunities
Beauty at your service right on the garden grounds. Choose from Planterra’s outdoor lushive greens with the Conservatory in the background or head inside and find many of Planterra’s award winning plants + florals to use and your backdrop. Circle the greenhouse and there’s not a single spot you cannot take a “bad photo.” Surrounded by nature’s beauty with a nice warm hug from Mother Nature.

Important Things to Know
Planterra is not open during the summer and specialize in Winter, Spring and Fall Weddings. Their main wedding season runs from September to May. No rain or snow backup plans needed! Everyone is celebrated at Planterra with VIP attention, love and care! No worries about multiple events going on. Your date is exclusively yours. No coordinators pushing you through the door, in a rush to just “get the next couple married” with complete privacy to you and your family.

The food and beverage minimums vary depending on the night:
Friday – $17,000
Saturday – $22,500
Sunday – $12,500

The Conservatory is climate controlled in the cooler months and maintains pleasant temperatures throughout autumn, winter, and spring. In the summer, the Conservatory is well ventilated, however, due to inconsistencies in cooling, the Conservatory is not available for events requiring formal attire in June, July, or August.

Planterra’s award-winning culinary team is the exclusive food service provider at the Conservatory.
Exceptions to this rule include wedding cakes, cupcakes, dessert tables, and late night snacks.

Domesticated dogs and cats are permitted if part of a wedding ceremony or presentation. However, during the party or reception pets must be leashed or caged. The owner must attend to the pet. In the event that the pet damages or soils the facility or merchandise, the host will be responsible for the clean-up costs and/or repairs.

If you live in the state
If you are a Michigan resident, you will apply for your marriage license through the county in which you live.
If you live outside the state
If you do not reside in Michigan, you will apply for your marriage license through the Oakland County Clerk’s office.
