About the Goldner Walsh Wedding Venue
Goldner Walsh Garden & Home has a long history of being a leader in the green industry and is transitioning to provide a lifestyle-based destination shopping experience. Founded in 1953 by Al Goldner, a floriculture graduate from Michigan State University, Goldner Walsh has become nationally recognized for its quality products, services, and events. Jim Slezinski and Tim Travis purchased the business from Al in 1988 and are actively supportive of the local community and the arts.
Details of the Grounds
The Venues at Goldner Walsh in Pontiac, Michigan is a unique wedding venue with a hundred-year-old history. It contains 12 acres of greenhouses, gardens, an amphitheater, and a celebration space, all of which make it a perfect setting for weddings and bridal showers.
The Celebration Space: is a large 3,200 square foot area that can accommodate up to 180 tabled guests or 300 seated guests for conferences. It is ideal for receptions, banquets, weddings, and other events and can be customized with tables and decorations to fit any occasion.
The Gardens and Amphitheater: This garden nursery offers 12 acres of beautiful rolling hills and lush green gardens perfect for outdoor ceremonies and parties. There is an amphitheater, pergola bar, fountain, and walking paths that support up to 250 people. Enjoy a lawn game or a unique scavenger hunt while taking in the urban serenity.
The Cedar House: The Cedar House is a beautiful and magical greenhouse wedding venue that can accommodate up to 100 people. It is ideal for events such as showers, parties, and receptions, and is surrounded by a natural landscape and adjacent to a bocce court.

Goldner Walsh Garden & Home offers numerous photographic opportunities. The 12-acre garden nursery with lush green gardens, rolling hills, walking paths, and an amphitheater is perfect for outdoor ceremonies and parties. The Cedar House, a magical greenhouse wedding venue surrounded by a natural landscape, is also ideal for events such as showers, parties, and receptions. The celebration space, with its large area, can be customized to fit any occasion, making it perfect for receptions, banquets, weddings, and other events. The pergola bar, fountain, and walking paths in the gardens provide excellent backdrops for photos, and the unique bocce court adjacent to the Cedar House is another great place for photo opportunities.
Wedding Details
When you book your wedding here, you reserve the whole venue space with complete access to the whole space. You may choose which rooms you would like to use and book. Tables and chairs are included. Venue limit of 200. Props available include wagons, carts, and a moveable bar. No linens plates flatware, so you will have to provide for your own (I hear you can rent flatware too?!). No catering is available. Greenery all around! Centerpieces and florals can be done on-site but at an additional cost. There is a Bridal suite available on-site to get ready with A/C. However, Groomsmen get ready at what’s called “The Barn” which does not have A/C. Everything is close together making an easy, stress-free day!
