Bonnie Blues was the dream of a father/daughter duo, named in honor of a beloved Grandmother who valued the important things in life, like love, laughter, and community. Today, it’s an oasis for couples looking for an intimate, romantic venue with everything from mountain views to a cozy and elegant indoor event space. With unique touches and plenty of charm and character, Bonnie Blues is the perfect place to host an unforgettable wedding.
Details of the Grounds
There are a variety of unique ways to use Bonnie Blues for your wedding, whether you are looking for spaces indoors or outdoors! Their indoor spaces can accommodate up to 200 seated guests, but if you are looking to have your wedding entirely outdoors, there’s plenty of room for more people.
First off, to begin your wedding day, you, your partner, and your parties will prepare in the Bridal and Groom’s cabins. The cabins have plenty of space for hair and makeup and lots of bright natural light for beautiful getting-ready photos.
Ceremony And Reception
For your ceremony, you can choose to exchange vows in one of several locations. The outdoor Concrete Ceremony Pad is a massive wooden gazebo structure that looks out over acres of vast Colorado prairie. Dress it up and decorate it however you like, but you won’t need much with such a breathtaking view behind you. If you prefer an indoor ceremony (or in case of chilly or inclement weather), the gorgeous Hearth is a towering stone fireplace with a thick wooden mantel that you can use to display florals, candles, or other romantic decor. Accented with wrought iron industrial touches, it’s a beautifully elegant spot to promise forever to the love of your life.
For your reception, you have a couple of options, too! The indoor barn space is perfect for hosting an inviting dinner with plenty of additional room for a dance floor. Built with neutrality in mind, the barn’s white walls, dark industrial accents, and rich wooden accents make it the perfect rustically elegant canvas for you to transform into the wedding of your dreams. You can also entertain your guests outdoors with a celebration under the stars. Or simply take advantage of their open lawn space with entertainment like fire pits, corn hole, and even putt putt!
Photography Opportunities
There are so, so, so many beautiful places for photos at Bonnie Blues! From the rolling fields of prairie (you aren’t even READY for how gorgeous Golden Hour looks shining off of the tall grasses), to the rustic exteriors of the buildings, to charming decorative touches like the stone fireplace and secluded wooden pathways, we’ll be able to capture incredible portraits of you and your partner, your wedding parties, and families with absolute ease.
Wedding Details
Bonnie Blues event venue understands that no two weddings are the same. Additionally, a wedding should be a reflection of each couple at the heart of the celebration! They offer two different packages: an Exclusive package that allows you to design your wedding with your own vision and style and an All-Inclusive package that is perfect for couples who live out of state or just don’t want to deal with the pressures of planning.
Booking the Exclusive Package gives you access to the venue, tables, chairs, and a full-service kitchen for catering. But you are required to use one of their provided caterers who work with them consistently. Anyone on their list also upholds the Bonnie Blues expectations of quality. You will also need to hire a day-of coordinator or use their in-house coordinator for an additional fee. All alcohol also needs to be provided by their beverage vendor.
The Inclusive Package means their coordinating team will take care of arranging your catering, DJ, rentals (linens, flatware, glassware, etc.), and florals! The only thing you’ll have to book yourself are the photographer (hi, that’s me!), the videographer, hair and makeup, and your cake! The all-inclusive package price also excludes alcohol.
