I started my morning at a local Subway, fueling myself full of expensive bread (haha) just down the street from Green Ginger Salon where Katie was with her girls and fam. …but way before this I met Katie and Seth all over Ypsilanti for their engagement session. Starting out the morning is always so chill. I spend time working on her details and pop in and out to see how the girls are doing. Part of Katie’s details (which I LOVE by the way!!) was her family’s heirloom ring!! So pretty!! …and that lock was so unique. It was the first time I ever saw something so cute like that before! It actually locks and holds the rings as well!!
Katie and Seth decided to gift each other some goodies with a thoughtful note which brought tears to both Katie and Seth!! Seth did pretty well with Katie’s gift too. The necklace matched her earrings…like did he know!? Haha I was waiting for weeeeeeeeeks to see the dress Katie’s chose designed by Hayley Paige!!!! All the details in that dress OMG! SO beautiful! <3 Katie’s dad was the first to really see her all dressed up and you can bet there were tears!! Kind of hard not too right?
See the blue Buick? That was gifted to them the day of their wedding. HOW COOL and so pretty! I was TOTALLY inspired.
STOP YOUR SCROLL when you see how Seth reacted when he had his new bride right in front of him…oh man! Guys, its totally okay for this to happen…let it…she’s GORGEOUS!!!!
Fast forward to the reception and one of the funniest things happened. During dinner, while working on transferring over my 2nd photographers images and shoving AMAZING food in my mouth, I noticed that it sounded like the first dances had started…so I sent my 2nd flying down the stairs with camera in hand. Like I always say…weddings are a beautiful chaos! Haha The DJ was already have a few difficulties of his own. Katie accidentally gave the okay to start the dances…OOPS!!! Hahahaha and she was so chill about it. Honestly, it happened like it should have. We were able to get all the Bride+Dad and Groom+Mom dances and a little bit of a round 2 dance with Katie and Seth. The best part was when we went for some sunset photos afterwards and we found our favorite spot (with some GREAT lighting!!) and Seth looked up their wedding song and played it. They had a private first dance and the fact that it was just them two made it that much more special. Creeper me in the background totally doesn’t count! Haha
After photos, it was time to get the party started and what better way than wood fired pizza!!! Wypa’s Wood Fire Pizza.
