A Childhood Journal that Brought the Tears | Great Lakes Culinary Center Wedding Southfield, Michigan
Details are some of my favorite things to photograph!! I LOOOOOVE that Raven had this cute little box. Dear every future Bride, please be like Raven!! Have a little box like this set aside for me, ready to go with ALL the details you would like photographed. I LOVED how organized this was and I totally vibe with your organized self. All the feels with this box!!
I love taking all your details right into Nature like settings and getting up, close and personal with them! Giving love to everything you spent months planning! I do photos separate and then staged together. Its best when I have hour full invitation suite as well. Sometimes we include the save the date if it’s in your box as well. DETAILS ARE MY FAVORITE, I cannot stress enough haha even the little detailed moments. I was going back and forth, up and down the elevator, outside the hotel to upstairs where the girls were getting ready in a nice (full of gorgeous light) bridal suite. This is always a chill time for the girls. All the bridesmaids wore purple (FAV color!!) robes and ate healthy chicken salads for lunch. They got ready and all beautified and then opened special gifts from the bride. We even did an impromptu first look with the bridesmaid since Mom was the one to help button up her dress. AND OMG!!! That bridal bouquet!!! So gorgeous!! One of Rae’s top 10 photos was a photo with her girls at the bar. Once it was GO TIME to head to the venue, we put her veil on in the hotel lobby and set up shop at the bar…where the girls totally took a shot of water because opps! haha Shh…it’s vodka! We headed to the venue to prep for the first look with Raven + Eddie, which was scheduled to be in the garden. It was a bit sunny, but Rae REALLY wanted that to be in the garden and I totally agree, its really pretty in there!!! We went right into Bride + Groom portraits, Bridal Party and then Family Portraits all before the ceremony. So much love between Rae and her parents!!!! Some of my favorite moments are the individual photos with just her mom and then just her Dad…which it was hard for Rae to hold it together once Daddy kissed her on the forehead!!! The ceremony was full of laughs, tears and reading from Rae’s childhood diary. Talking about moments she shared with Eddie and how it made her feel at the time. The reception started with a grand entrance right into cake (which I always recommend!) Speeches and then the party of the year which totally included glow sticks! Congrats you two! I look forward to watching your family grow with you and your two pups!!! Thank you for trusting me with your big day and cherish your photos forever! <3
